Jimmy Buffet approved by Nevada Gaming Commission

Jimmy Buffet is no longer “wasting away in Magaritaville”; he now has the opportunity to prosper handsomely in Las Vegas ville since Nevada gambling regulators approved a license for Buffet to share in the gambling revenues from his Margaritaville casino in Las Vegas.

Buffett told commissioners that he never imagined the laid-back beach tune released in 1977 would become such a valuable piece of intellectual property. He did add  that “Margaritaville” was “a pretty good song” and said “it worked out.”
